Bangkoks bigger bedrooms

On Sunday morning we made the 3hr flight from Macau to Bangkok in Thailand. We're staying in an area of the city called Banglamphu just off the infamous back packer haunt of the Khao San Road. We're staying at guest house called New Joes, which feels like the Ritz after the prison cell like confines of Augusters is Macau.

For 500 baht a night (about 10 quid) we have such luxuries as a double bed, private bathroom, air con and a balcony. Plus the added bonus that there is now room for us to be able to open and close the door of the room with both of us and our bags in and there's no one sleeping outside our door on a camp bed!

Our first week away had been really hectic, what with the long flight from the UK, jet lag and only having a relatively short time in Hong Kong and Macau. So the remainder of Sunday was spent relaxing, getting the blog back up to date and exciting stuff like getting the laundry done (3 quid for a whole weeks worth!)
