Wheeler dealing

Before we left Livingstone we had tried to get rid of the camping gear that we had bought for the overland truck. None of our fellow truckies wanted it and an advert on the wall at Jollyboys had no takers. We donated some of the gear to the local orphanage but we really wanted to recoup some of the money from the air bed and pump which had cost us about $60.

So before departing for the airport I hit the mean streets of Livingstone to try and strike a deal with the local market traders. After a bit of bartering I managed to swap our air bed and pump for eighty thousand Tanzanian kwacha and one hundred trillion dollars - $100,000,000,000,000.

Even Del-boy would be proud of a mark-up like that! Unfortunately it was only Zimbabwian dollars.
